Returns & Exchanges
We want you to love your gown. If something isn't right, here is exactly how it works.
Full-price online orders
Full-price ready-to-wear gowns purchased online may be returned within 14 days of you receiving them. Approved returns are issued as store credit, which can be used on any item we have in stock.
Return postage is at your cost. We recommend a tracked service, as we cannot issue credit for a parcel that does not reach us.
Showroom purchases
Full-price gowns purchased in our Campsie showroom may be returned within 3 days for store credit.
Condition required
To be accepted, gowns must be in original condition:
- Unworn and unaltered, with all tags still attached
- Not dry cleaned, spot cleaned, washed or dried
- Free of makeup marks, fake tan, perfume or any odour
- Returned in the original packaging
Size exchanges
If you would like a different size in the same style, email us at info@clairdavu.com with your order number and the size you need. We will exchange it wherever we have that size available. If we cannot, we will issue store credit instead. Delivery costs for exchanges are at your cost.
What cannot be returned
- Pre-order and made-to-order gowns, as these are produced specifically for you
- Sale items, which are final
If you are unsure about sizing before ordering a pre-order gown, please contact us first or book a showroom appointment. We would far rather help you get it right than have you disappointed.
Faulty gowns
If your gown arrives faulty, contact us at info@clairdavu.com as soon as you notice, with your order number and photographs of the fault. We will arrange for the gown to be returned to us for inspection.
Where a gown is confirmed faulty, you will be refunded in full including shipping, or offered an exchange or store credit — whichever you prefer.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including your rights to a repair, replacement or refund where a product has a major failure.
